Protexin Veterinary is pleased to present a webinar that will deliver case-based information on the pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of feline lower urinary tract disease.
The feline lower urinary tract can be affected by a myriad of conditions including feline idiopathic cystitis, urolithiasis, neoplasia and urinary tract infections. The most commonly encountered condition is feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC), which remains incompletely understood and is a diagnosis of exclusion.
This webinar will consider a logical approach to investigation of the cat presenting with signs of lower urinary tract disease, exploring current thoughts regarding the pathophysiology of the condition, and how stress plays a significant role. Predispositions, diagnosis and management will be covered, considering both the acute emergency presentation of the 'blocked' cat along with strategies for long-term management of the condition.
