Acid Ease is a concentrated, palatable nutritional supplement designed to support optimal digestive function in horses and weaned foals. Formulated to target the common challenges of excess acidity, it provides a unique blend of high-quality fibres and buffering agents.

Natural Acid Buffering and Gut Support

As a market-leading anti acid supplement for horses, Acid Ease contains calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate to help buffer excess gastric acid. The inclusion of kaolin, pectin, and the amino acid L-threonine works synergistically to soothe and protect the gut lining.

Advanced Tribiotic Formula

Protexin Acid Ease stands out by offering a full "tribiotic" solution-prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics. It utilizes Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a probiotic yeast that promotes fibre digestion and provides essential B vitamins and minerals.

Directions

Feed 50g twice a day for the first month and then reduce by half for maintenance.

(1 heaped measure of scoop enclosed holds approximately 50g).

What's the difference between Gut Balancer & Acid Ease?

Gut Balancer contains a palatable probiotic and unique dual source prebiotics, specifically designed for horses and ponies. Use daily to support digestive function and efficiency and for general wellbeing. Acid Ease contains the same probiotic and prebiotics found in Gut Balancer, alongside a combination of calcium and magnesium carbonate, fibre, kaolin and amino acids which together act to buffer excess acid and soothe the gut lining. Acid Ease is suitable to calm excess acid in all horses and weaned foals.

When should I choose Acid Ease instead of Gut Balancer?

Acid Ease contains the same probiotic and prebiotics found in Gut Balancer, alongside a combination of calcium and magnesium carbonate, fibre, kaolin and amino acids which together act to buffer excess acid and soothe the gut lining. Acid Ease is suitable to calm excess acid in all horses and weaned foals.

Can I give Acid Ease and Omeprazole together?

Yes it is safe to give Acid Ease alongside a pharmaceutical such as omeprazole.

Can I give Acid Ease long term?

Yes, Acid Ease is safe to use to support optimal gastrointestinal pH for long periods. The daily amount given can be reduced to the maintenance level for long term use.

Can I give Acid Ease and Gut Balancer together?

Acid Ease contains a high concentration of probiotic organisms which should be sufficient for most horses. However, for additional probiotic support Gut Balancer can safely be given alongside Acid Ease.

Can you soak Acid Ease in water 5 mins before feeding?

If you need to mix Acid Ease with water, it should be fed as soon as possible after mixing.

What are prebiotics?

A prebiotic is a non-digestible carbohydrate (complex sugar) which acts as a food source for beneficial bacteria and therefore stimulates their growth.
